Valentine's Day is a great time to remember that love exists everywhere…even in pixelated form. Romantic relationships have been staple parts in many of the best story games for decades, and if you are like me, whenever a dynamic duo is part of the gaming experience, you always pay that extra bit of attention to try to save the day…or get revenge (it depends on what genre the couple finds themselves in, really).

Gaming couples deserve their flowers for the emotional attachment issues they give us all, and that's why we've made a Valentine's Day quiz where you can test your romance knowledge and see if you can name iconic pairs with just a single screenshot. A quick disclaimer: since Nintendo has confirmed that Mario is canonically friend-zoned, you won't find him or Peach here, so apologies to that group of shippers in advance.
