Action-adventure RPG Town of Zoz just dropped a new trailer during the Future Games Show at gamescom, and it seems that everything might not be quite as wholesome as it seems.
The new trailer introduces us to the titular town of Zoz, defended by talented warrior Ito. While the very existence of Ito's job suggests that there's some work that needs to be done in order to keep the citizens of Zoz safe, our brave hero still has plenty of time between hack-and-slash combat outings to make plants and nurture crops in their garden. That's very important, since food is at the heart of Town of Zoz and its Latin American inspiration.
Sadly, however, everything does not seem to be entirely as it might look at first glance. The new trailer doesn't offer much in the way of details, but it does look as though there's a corruption somewhere in the heart of Zoz, which is throwing up particularly unpleasant-looking (and potentially very powerful) enemies that seem to be causing Ito plenty of problems. It looks as though they'll need to rely on their friends in the town if they want to turn the tide against these rough-looking foes.
We're still a little way out from the release of Town of Zoz - currently, there's no firm release window in sight, but developer Studio Pixanoh says the game is coming soon. When it does arrive, you'll be able to play on Nintendo Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
