Slash and blast your way though hordes of monsters in brutal dark fantasy boomer shooter Nailcrown
Thanks to Nailcrown's dynamic gore system, the blood will spill through every bone-shattering encounter
We hope that you've got a strong stomach, because you're going to need it when Nailcrown hits its stride! This is perfectly illustrated by the latest trailer shown during the Future Games Show at gamescom, which is a symphony of flying limbs, decapitated heads, and explosive destruction. You know, all of the good stuff.
Embodying the boomer shooter genre, you play as a mysterious necromancer fighting your way through a variety of dark fantasy settings, from ancient castles and haunted villages to flooded sewers and nightmare dungeons filled with instruments of torture. The enemies standing in your way include ghouls and hordes of the undead, through to minotaurs, trolls, and other mythical creatures hell-bent on halting your progress, who must all be ruthlessly dispatched.
Helpfully you'll have plenty of weapons in hand to deal with these threats, including both melee and ranged options that you can switch between on the fly, creating devastating combos to keep up your deadly momentum. All of this feeds into Nailcrown's dynamic gore system, giving real weight to your attacks as blood sprays and bones shatter while dismembered limbs arc through the air.
The campaign can be tackled solo or in co-op with a friend, and rewards exploration with plenty of hidden secrets to discover. For even more bloodshed, you can also jump into multiplayer and battle it out with other players in devastating Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch modes.
Nailcrown is coming soon to PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, but for now you can keep up with the latest information by wishlisting on Steam, following the game on X and Facebook, or joining the official Discord.
