About Time , the latest romcom from genre figurehead Richard Curtis, has revealed a first trailer online.
Offering a softer spin on the time-travel conceit than the likes of The Terminator and Looper , the film introduces Domhnall Gleeson ( Anna Karenina , Dredd ) as Tim, the youngest in a line of time-travellers (this being a Curtis film, Bill Nighy plays his dad).
Rachel McAdams adds a bit of Hollywood glamour as Mary, the girl Tim falls for. Using his time-jumping abilities, he’s able to woo her again and again ( Groundhog Day -style) until he gets it right.
But it’s not all fun and games, as Tim comes to learn of the butterfly effects of jumping around too frivolously.

About Time opens in the UK on 6 September 2013.
