First Spider-Man 3 shots

The very first images of Activision's upcoming movie tie-in, Spider-Man 3, have crawled their way on to the web and give us a look at the sticky palmed wonder striking a pose in his all-new black suit. Hit the Images tab above for a look at the wholeSpidey 3 gallery.

This monochromatic addition to Spidey's wardrobe will beef up the wall crawling hero's powers, but not without a price- themovie's official sitereveals that the new suit brings out "the dark, vengeful side of his personality that he is struggling to control." Ooh, dark.

Besides showing off his new threads and confronting his moody dark side, Spidey will spend his time in the game- which will be scuttling to consoles and handhelds to coincide with the movie's release in May - fighting bad eggs such as Green Goblin and Sandman, as well as nefarious gangs and petty criminals.

He will, of course, also be web-swinging his way around New York and generally doing whatever a spider can.
