First concept art from Tarsem Singh's Snow White revealed

The first concept art images for Tarsem Singh’s Snow White have been released.

Relativity Media announced that Snow White had begun photography production this week and unveiled the first concept art images in The Hollywood Reporter (via Coming Soon).

The film, set for a 2012 release, is a retelling of the Brothers Grimm story Snow White. This particular version stars Julia Roberts, Nathan Lane and Armie Hammer, with The Blind Side 's breakout star Lily Collins in the title role.

The promo poster includes the tagline “A comedic adventure awaits”, suggesting this will be Singh’s first comedy. Perhaps the humour will mark it out from the glut of Snow White movies heading our way.

Coming Soon gives further details of other concept art, suggesting that a masquerade party will be pivotal to the plot, and that Snow White will be involved in some action scenes.

Snow White (AKA Relativity Media's Untitled Snow White Project ) has been given a US release date of 16 March 2012.
