FIFA 14 comes to life in next-gen gameplay trailer

EA Sports has released a new FIFA 14 gameplay trailer showing off the Xbox One and PS4 versions of this year’s game in action. Along with this accompanying blog post, the video highlights some of the visual and gameplay enhancements made possible by EA Sports' new Ignite engine, which is also powering the company’s next-gen NFL, NBA and UFC titles.

Among the next-gen additions, FIFA 14 introduces in-air play for the first time, allowing multiple players to compete for the ball while it’s off the ground. Players apparently make decisions four times faster than they do on past consoles and behave more realistically thanks to hundreds of new animations. Along with greater graphical fidelity, additional cameras positioned around the pitch, bigger stadiums, new 3D crowd technology and improved weather effects, these features help to bring the beautiful game and the match day experience to life both on and off the pitch.
