Ant-Man could be on the brink of adding another major name to its growing ensemble, with Evangeline Lilly said to be in talks to join the cast.
According to Variety , Lilly is top of Edgar Wright’s hit-list to play Paul Rudd’s love interest, a non-canon character created specifically for the movie.
The report claims that not only will Lilly’s potential character be someone who catches the eye of Scott Lang… she will also be the daughter of Hank Pym!
That should muddy the relationship between Pym and Lang even further, and looks to be a nice twist on the subject material by screenwriter Joe Cornish.
Directed by Wright and co-starring Michael Douglas, Ant-Man is scheduled to scuttle into US cinemas on 17 July 2015, with a UK date to be confirmed in due course.
