The first trailer for The Punisher: One Last Kill has arrived... and it looks like a bloody good time.
In the brief clip, which can be viewed below, Frank Castle is going through it. He appears to relive some past trauma, get set on fire, and we montage through what appears to be a violent (and most likely revenge-focused) rampage. Reinaldo Marcus Green directs from a screenplay he co-wrote with Bernthal.
While we still don't know too much about the upcoming special, the logline is as follows: "Frank Castle tries to live a life without the need for revenge, only to be drawn into an unexpected conflict." The cast includes Jason R. Moore as Curtis Hoyle (reprising his role from Netflix's Punisher series), Roe Rancell as Dennis, and Mila Jaymes as Charli. Ma Gnucci, a villain from the Punisher comics, is also set to make her first-ever live-action appearance.

For fans upset that Frank Castle is absent from Daredevil: Born Again season 2, this is because of a) this special, and b) the fact that he's set to play a major part in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. We can infer that the special takes place in between Daredevil: Born Again season 1 and Spider-Man: Brand New Day, explaining how Frank gets mixed up with Peter Parker in the first place... but we're not sure just yet.
The Punisher: One Last Kill is set to hit Disney Plus on May 12, just after the conclusion of the currently ongoing Daredevil: Born Again season 2. After that, Punisher returns in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which hits theaters on July 31. For more, stay up to date on all the upcoming Marvel movies and shows that are currently in the works.
