The Amazing Spider-Man star Andrew Garfield wants to see Emma Stone as Spider-Gwen.
"Yeah, I mean, why not? Directed by Yorgos Lanthimos," he joked to Hits Radio when asked how perfect he thought Stone would be in the role, referring to Stone's frequent collaborator. He added, "Yeah, I think she could do anything. She's such an incredible actor."
Stone starred opposite Garfield in the two Amazing Spider-Man movies, and, despite the mega crossover that was Spider-Man: No Way Home, she hasn't returned to the Marvel universe since.
Spider-Gwen has made it to the movies, however, voiced by Hailee Steinfeld in Sony's Spider-Verse films.
Tom Holland's Spider-Man returns to our screens very soon in this summer's Spider-Man: Brand New Day. So far, the first trailer has landed, and it teases a darker story for Peter Parker, after the No Way Home ending saw him wiped from the memories of everyone he knows.
"I haven't seen it yet with sound," Garfield has previously said of the trailer. "I've seen it without sound, because I was in a makeup chair, and I didn't want to disturb everyone, but it looks cool... very, very cool."
No Way Home made over a billion dollars at the box office, and Brand New Day might be bringing some stiff competition. The new trailer garnered 718.6 million views across all platforms, surpassing the GTA VI trailer for total views and doubling Spider-Man: No Way Home's 24-hour total of 355.5 million views.
