There is now only one way to access the Diablo 4 beta, as other methods including the previous Early Access period have since expired. However, if you're still waiting for your chance to try out Diablo 4 for yourself then there's good news, as the final option provides guaranteed access to everyone. The Open Beta weekend is almost here – you can see exactly when is the Diablo 4 beta in our separate guide – which means players on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X, PS4, and Xbox One can all be involved, and now the Diablo 4 beta preload times have begun you can get it installed and ready to go. If you want to know how to do that, then here are all of the details on how to access the Diablo 4 beta.

How to play the Diablo 4 beta

Previously it was possible to sign up to access the Diablo 4 beta via the official website, at least according to a Blizzard support post regarding the Alpha and Beta testing phases of the game published in 2022, but that option is now no longer available. It was also possible to access the Diablo 4 beta by pre-ordering the game, with various different versions available including the Standard, Deluxe, and Ultimate Editions, and each provides a variety of rewards within Diablo 3 and 4 including the Early Access Beta. However, that ran from March 17-20 which has now passed.

The only way to access the Diablo 4 beta now is to wait until May 12-14, when the next (and likely final) Open Beta will be available for everyone who knows how to download the Diablo 4 beta. There are no access requirements, so simply keep an eye on the relevant digital storefront for your platform and download the client when it becomes available. This final beta will run for a little over three days, so make sure you're installed and set up in advance to get the most time possible from it, while using Diablo 4 crossplay to team up with friends on different platforms.
