Beat down things that go bump in the night in this frightening follow-up

But don't expect Condemned 2: Bloodshot to be a sugar coated shell of the original. The game still looks like it'll have that same survival/horror cringe factor when it comes to its brutal beat downs, as evidenced by a new minigame flying under the codename "Hobo Fight Club." What started as a tool to test the game's combat system and new characters, turned into a free-for-all orgy of head smashing and bum bashing.

"As we build our characters and bring AI online and so on and so forth, we throw them in a giant test room and just play. Well, we were having so much fun beating the living snot out of stuff... we actually turned this into a game mode. It's a fight club and you go as long as you can until you die. As you finish each mission, all the weapons and enemies that you come across get unlocked and get put into Hobo Fight Club," explained Hantzopoulos as he smashed a liquor bottle over a vagrant before lighting him on fire with an electric taser.

It looks like Condemned 2: Bloodshot is shaping up to be a solid sequel, but we'd like to wait and see if combat feels as good as it looks before we get too excited.
