He can beat you in his sleep
There have been a lot of interesting character designs in fighting games, but we think that the bar has reached new heights with Bedman in Guilty Gear Xrd. The aptly named warrior is a man permanently asleep in a robotic bed that fights for him. The bed morphs into all different shapes, using its spiked gear-like wheels to attack. If Bedman is idle for too long, the bed will fold back into a standard bed like the one in your bedroom and wait for the player to input something. Bedman sounds absurd, but in action he's awesome to watch.
Those who haven't played Guilty Gear before will be happy to know that this will be a less complicated Guilty Gear experience. While other games in the series added layers of systems to learn, Xrd actually strips some of them away in a "less is more" approach that will make the game more accessible. Fighting game fans who've admired Guilty Gear from a distance will soon have a game they can jump right into.
