War Of The Gods launches

Zack Snyder’s take on Frank Miller’s Grecian graphic novel epic has certainly stirred something in Hollywood. We’re not sure if it was the technological wizardry on display, the blistering visuals or the piles and piles of cash it earned at the box office. We’d guess the latter…

Relativity Media is the latest company chucking its spear into the ring, teaming up with 300 producers Mark Canton and Gianni to produce War Of The Gods for The Cell’s Tarsem Singh to direct.

Gods follows Theseus, a mythological Greek warrior who is faced with leading his men into battle against demons and titans, with a little help from the ancient gods.

Ironically, the film will be pitched against some other titans – Clash Of The Titans, which 300 studio Warners is gearing up with Incredible Hulk director Louis Leterrier at the helm. The Hollywood Reporter is following the carnage .
