Sean Brosnan is no Bond as aliens invade Earth

Kickboxing aliens invade a Derby housing estate in a laughable Independence Day wannabe.

Pierce Brosnan’s son Sean (largely shirtless) and Jean-Claude Van Damme’s daughter Bianca Bree are the stars, with Jean-Claude Van Damme himself turning up as a survivalist recluse who becomes Earth’s last line of defence.

One long tracking shot around a supermarket under siege suggests what director Dominic Burns ( How To Stop Being A Loser ) might achieve with a half-decent budget.

Alas, no amount of fiscal ingenuity can excuse the wooden acting and crummy dialogue in what is a feeble offering.
