Portal 2 co-op video walkthrough

Course 3- Hard Light Surfaces

3-1

For the first part of the chamber, it is pretty straight forward. Have one player use the portals to direct the light bridge and then have the second player take over when dropping onto the first players isn’t an option. Run through the portal to reach the higher portal and it will take you to the second section which is a tad more confusing.Have one player place a portal at the end of the light bridge and the other player launch off the faith plate. The one player will then need to catch the launched player by placing a portal on the wall that will extend a bridge under them.

Once done, run through the portal to reach the top and then have the other player place a portal at the same height as the button under the original bridge.Run over and press the button which will drop the ball and then go through the portal again to reach the original top bridge. Now the player who is on the top original bridge will need to control the portals while the other carries the ball.Place a portal at the end of the bridge and one on the left wall near the top. Have the other player launch off the faith plate and then quickly shoot the portal that was above them, below them so that they land on it.Now head through the portal and you can both run across to the far side to drop off the ball and exit.

3-2

This is one that is much easier being seen than it is being told.Basically what will need to happen is to have one player start the bridge which will take the other player to a wall that a portal can be placed on.Then both players need to return to the start and the second portal of the player that dropped the furthest needs to be placed at the start of the original light bridge.Head through the portal and then continue the pattern for each wall that can be “portaled” that you come to and you will eventually reach the exit.

3-3

For this first section, one player places a portal near the button below and on the wall at the beginning, while the other player places one above reaching out underneath the ball dispenser. Both players go through the portal to the button, but the player who placed the higher portal will then need to place a portal at the end of the bridge. As that player goes through, the other will need to press the button to drop the ball for the other to catch.Once they have, both can through to the exit and to the second part of the chamber.

Once in the second portion, one player needs to go to the far side while the other sets up a portal to the top left at the light bridge and one on the ceiling directly across from the target on the floor. The other player will then launch off the faith plate and smack into the light bridge. When he does, another portal needs to be set up immediately to catch their fall. Now the player who was caught, can go through the portal on the wall to get on the original light bridge and crouch to do the same for the other player as they launch of the second faith plate. Make sure the bridge the other player sets up to catch the second player is high enough to take both players to the exit.

3-4

Much like the previous chamber, you will need to use bridges to catch the players in the air when they launch off the faith plate.Set up a portal at the end of the original bridge and then launch into the air and use a portal to make a bridge below to catch the player. Head through and exit at the top and then the other player will need to do the same. Once both players are at the top, set up a portal on the angled plate above and go through the portal to walk down it. Head into the second part of the chamber and one player will need to create a portal at the end of the light bridge and one below by shooting through the original bridge.

Walkthrough the portal and continue making bridges until you get to the catwalk that rises. Once you reach it, the player that does not have their portals controlling the bridge will need to make a portal on the ground and one on the angled plate to the right. The player controlling the bridge will need to make the bridge go directly over the portal on the ground. Have the other player walk out until they are lined up with the arrow on the wall and then remove the bridge so they fall through and launch to the exit. The other player will then need to cross their own bridge and do the same thing to exit.

3-5

I hate this chamber. It’s not difficult as much as it is long. For the first part, one player will need to make a portal on the ground to the left where the arrow is. Place the portal to the side however, so you don’t hit the bridge above.Next set up another portal above the faith plate and then launch up and place a portal at the end of the bridge. Hop down and have the other player place a portal above the faith plate and one in the far corner on the ground. Launch through and then shoot a portal to the wall on the far side when in the air to make a bridge below. Now both players can cross.Create another bridge to the right and walk across to the second portion. In this part, one player will need to make a portal above the faith plate and one on the angled plate to the left. When the one player launches off it, the other stays at the beginning to create a bridge right at the edge of the water.

When the other player is through the field, they need to place another portal on the angled plate there and then jump off the edge and land on the bridge and come back to the start. Now that same player needs to create a portal above the faith plate and launch through to reach the far side.Once they are on the far side, that player needs to create the bridges so that that the other player can get to the far side as well.Once both are on the far side, one will need to place a portal on the angled plate there and use the other players bridges to get back to the faith plate and launch through to the exit. Once there, then that player can create the bridges for the other player as the repeat the same thing.

3-6

To start in this chamber, create a portal at the end of the light barrier and then another to the left of the stairs. Head through and then go to the far side and create one to the right of the stairs. Now that the turrets are blocked, go up the stairs and place a portal on the far right, while the other player places portals on both sides where you just came through. This will then allow you to go to the third section.Once in it, create a bridge to the right and go through the portal and enter the small alcove to avoid being shot. Have the other player place a portal at the light barrier at the ceiling and one in the alcove to block the turrets fire. Now create bridge to get across, using the barrier as cover. Once in the center, the player controller the barrier will have to drop it so the other player can press the button and grab the ball that drops. Do it quick and put the barrier back up once the button is pressed.Grab the ball and head for the exit.

3-7

At the beginning of this chamber, have one player portal the light barrier to guard the other player as they portal up to the left to reach the faith plate. The player controlling the barrier will need to raise it as the other player enters the alcove and sets a portal to the far right on the angled plate and one above the faith plate. The other player can then launch through knocking off the turret. Once done, the player that was controlling the barriers will need to do the same to get to the second part of the chamber. As you enter the second chamber, have one player create a portal on the light barrier and another to block the turrets so that the player controlling the barriers and stand on the button to lower a plate. Have the other player portal the plate that lowers and the wall to the left and go through.

The other player can now press the button there that will launch a bunch of trash that includes a cube. Have the player pressing the button place a portal on the target to the left and on the plate that lowers. The cube will come directly to the player standing on the button, so grab it and place it on the button. Now the player pressing the button will need to set up the portals that got them to their position allowing the other player to run through the portal to regroup on the far side. Now just run like hell for the exit.

3-8

Once the players have entered the chamber, enter the door and fire a portal on the upper left wall and one on the wall to the right. One player will need to enter the portal to grab the ball and then pass it up to the other player as they reach through the portal.Once done, stuff it in the laser and proceed to the next part. Now, head up the stairs and go to the left. There will be a button to press which will active a light bridge.Once it is on, place a portal at the end of it and then another high on the beam across the ceiling to the right. The other player will need to go through the field and then place a portal up on the beam on the ceiling to the left and on the angled plate to the right of the catwalk. When the ball is launched, it will hit the light barrier, fall through the portal on the angled plate and then exit the portal on the beam above.

When it does that, the player controlling the barrier will need to place a portal on the angled plate to the right of the light barrier switch to catch the ball. Grab it once caught and head up the stairs to stuff it in the laser. Enter the next room by pulling the two door switches simultaneously and there will be more catwalks.Toss a portal on the light bridge to the left and another higher up to allow both players to walk across the top of the room. Once up, one player will need to stand above the platform on the far side and one will need to stay above the platform closer to the portal. There are two angled plates on each side of the room that each player will need to launch out of.

The player not controlling the bridge can place a portal on the angled plate and the platform below. The player controlling the bridge will need to shoot the portal controlling the bridge on their angled plate and then immediately shoot below themselves to fall through. If done correctly, both players will smash into each other mid-air and be able to enter the office to insert the disc.
