300: Rise Of An Empire has released a new trailer online, in which the rugged Themistokles attempts to unite Greece and turn the tide in the war with Persia.
The events of the new film take place before, during and after the story told by the original 300 , as the field of battle moves away from the dusty plains of the first film and onto the high seas.
Rodrigo Santoro is back in action as Xerxes, the fearsome God King leading the Persian charge, with Eva Green joining him as Artemesia, the vengeful commander of his naval forces.

Good to see that the Greek navy is every bit as buff as its infantry. Looks like there's plenty of time to hit the gym between sea-bound skirmishes!
Directed by Noam Murro and co-starring Sullivan Stapleton, Lea Headey and David Wenham, 300: Rise Of An Empire will open in the UK on 7 March 2014.
