Multiplayer gameplay shown in Assassin's Creed 4 trailer

Ubisoft has released a new Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag trailer focused on the title’s multiplayer component, which shows a number of ways players can attempt to blend in with the game world as NPCs while stalking targets.

The series’ unique form of cat-and-mouse multiplayer has been expanded with the addition of Game Lab, a new feature that allows for customisation options to augment the supplied game types. By enabling players to dictate point values, bonuses, weapons and modifiers, it should increase the longevity of the online experience. Additionally, the series’ cooperative Wolfpack mode will return. Multiplayer naval battles won’t be supported.

Assassin's Creed 4 will launch on October 29 in the US and November 1 in the UK on PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U. The PC version is expected to release shortly after, while PS4 and Xbox One editions are due to launch when the consoles arrive later in November.
