Matt Reeves directing new Twilight Zone Movie

Despite the talk of several A-list names being in contention, Cloverfield director Matt Reeves has been named as the person to direct Warner Bros' new Twilight Zone movie.

A few weeks ago, we reported that Christopher Nolan, Michael Bay and Alfonso Cuarón were on WB's wishlist for the new movie version of the classic TV show.

According to a report by the always-reliable Deadline , Reeves is now in negotiations to take the helm, with the hope that the film will begin shooting by summer 2012.

One question this does raise is what's going to happen to all the projects that Reeves has on his schedule? Since he finished on Let Me In , Reeves has been attached to Frankenstein story This Dark Endeavour , vampire novel adaptation The Passage , and a remake of They Live .

That's not to mention the potential Cloverfield sequel, and passion project The Invisible Woman .

Little's known about the plot of Twilight Zone , although it will apparently be a single story as opposed to an anthology piece.
