Dying Light's swing at Destiny Red Bull promo creates watery madness UPDATE

Dying Light developer Techland has now extended its somewhat tongue in cheek Drink for DLC promotion and included stretch goals for the project with rewards that everyone can download. Rewards start with a 50% XP Boost which will be unlocked at 5000 Tweets featuring the #DrinkForDLC hashtag and an image of you drinking water. The five tiers go all the way up to 50,000 Tweets with free DLC at each one. Techland really is doing this properly. And not a drop of energy drink in sight...

Bungie's getting it from all angles this week and the Destiny Taken King Red Bull promotion has inspired Dying Light devs Techland to offer its very own significantly healthier DLC offering. In its own words on Twitter, "We're jumping on the latest trend in game marketing!"

By simply using the hashtag #DrinkRightDyingLight and tweeting a picture of yourself drinking H20, you'll get a docket code to exchange for a premium weapon. Lo and behold, the Dying Light Twitter feed is a stream (sorry) of images showing off the world having a drink. Some more unique than others...
