Colin Farrell confirmed for True Detective Season 2

Colin Farrell has confirmed he will be starring in the second series of True Detective , and has shed some light on what we can expect to see from the show in terms of plot…

“I’m doing the second series… I’m so excited,” revealed Farrell, before going on to confirm that he will be playing Ray Velcaro, a man “who has been damaged by years of trauma in both his personal and professional lives.”

According to the report, the new series will follow “the vicious murder of a corrupt businessman found dead the night before he completes a deal.”

Taylor Kitsch and Vince Vaughn both remain strongly linked to the series, although neither has been confirmed as yet. Meanwhile, the report also claims that Elisabeth Moss and Rachel McAdams are currently vying for the same part…

Justin Lin is currently slated to direct the first two episodes of the eight-episode run, with filming set to begin in the coming weeks, ahead of a 2015 air date.
