TalkPlayStation.com writes:From what we've seen in the trailers and videos from E3, you can't shoot while running in Resident Evil 5. Resident Evil 4 has this same problem and quite a lot of people complained about it. The stop and shoot mechanic is back. We contacted Capcom regarding this issue and they sent a quick response back

Kotaku writes: The Resident 5 footage shown here at E3 is gorgeous. Jaw dropping, even. The game really looks like what people have been waiting for. What's not to like? The criticism level against the game has been the fact it uses Resident 4's controls. That's not necessarily a bad thing if you liked Resident Evil 4! But as RE5 producer Jun Takeuchi pointed out: It's possible that a lot of people who play Resident Evil 5 may not have played Resident Evil 4. But they might have played Gears of Wars or Call of Duty. Those are both games that I and our team really, really like. So don't be surprised if at the Tokyo Game Show, the controls are different. For now, we have the control set up for RE4. I'm not confirming or denying anything, but we like to surprise people.

Tomorrow morning at 4:30 a.m. we leave the Birmingham International Airport for the sunny shores of Los Angeles, CA to attend what most gamer's in the country are dreaming about; the 2008 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). In the four days that we will be at E3 we'll be covering such a mass of games, attending many free dinners, and late drunken parties, followed by all-night writing sessions, that we are actually a bit nervous about the whole thing. This is the Super Bowl of our industry though, thus in the end our excitement to have a beer with Cliff Bleszinski outweighs the overall severity of our fear. These are only the announced games we can tell you about, even so this is more than enough reasons for you to come back and spend E3 2008 with us, here at PlanetXbox360.com by bookmarking either one of the two below links. See everyone from the show!

Brad Nicholson of Destructoid writes: Resident Evil 5's composer Kota Suzuki recently took a trip to Los Angeles to record the melodramatic portion of the upcoming horror game. Suzuki utilized the 103-piece ensemble of the Hollywood Studio Symphony to lay down his tracks. At the end of the day, only fifteen minutes of music was required to fulfill the need. Scoring Sessions reports that the music sounded large on the stage, with frenetic orchestral driving rhythms, and strong melodic themes. Portions of the session had an African theme, which was pronounced by an assortment of percussion that originated from the continent. An additional little ditty was created for the opening of the game. As much as I would love to act like a connoisseur of fine music, I still find the majority of my time with KMFDM pumping in my ears. Fifteen minutes seems short though, even if the score is looped repeatedly over crazy break beats. Yet, I like the trouble to which Capcom went. To me, flying overseas instead of emulating an orchestral score is a sign of quality to come. Spare no expense Capcom. I think we're all ready to bust some zombie heads again in 2009.

A lot of gamers were very unhappy and felt Resident Evil 5 is racist towards African people. maybe this is one of their 'big' E3 announcements?

Since E3 is a rather important event, or used to be at least, it comes as no surprise to anyone that a game company would save its best reveal for an upcoming game for the lukewarm event. Therefore, when Capcom announced that there would be a major reveal for Resident Evil 5 at next month's E3, pardon me if I was not too blown away with shock and awe.

Longtime voice of series antagonist Albert Wesker, voice actor Richard Waugh, has let it be known that he will not be reprising his role in Resident Evil 5 -- but not because he doesn't want to. Citing Capcom's desire to use non-union actors, Waugh revealed in an interview that he would not be coming back for RE5. Instead the voice of Albert Wesker will be done by D.C. Douglas. Waugh encourages the fans to tell Capcom how they feel about the change in actors.
