Initially the publisher announced that Versus would be available on the PlayStation Network for $3.99. Capcom has since sent out a press release correcting the PSN pricing on the post-release downloadable content for the game. It will now cost you $4.99.

Gamezine: Capcom's Resident Evil body part stunt goes slightly wrong. Police are called and limbs go missing.

To mark the launch of Resident Evil 5, Capcom Europe held a competition in Central London this morning that involved competitors collecting bloody hidden body parts.

A winner was crowned, Steve Long, a 26-year-old IT consultant from North London. His prize will consist of a holiday for two to Africa.

However, the publicity stunt went wrong due to a number of the replica body parts going missing.

The Wall Street Journal's Jamin Brophy-Warren has a piece today exploring the racial connotations some are seeing in Capcom's latest effort, Resident Evil 5. The game's producer Jun Takeuchi recently said, "There is no racial element to it at all," and Capcom's Chris Kramer expands on that point, stating to the WSJ that the game adopts an "anti-colonialist" stance. Mr. Kramer is referring to white protagonist Chris Redfield, shooting his way through RE5's African non-zombies, and the imagery it represents with regards to traditional Western colonialism on the continent.
