Russ writes "Best Buy takes the cake this week with a massive $10 sale across most platforms; the 360, PS3 and DS being chief among them. There's a couple of good games, but the only RPGs are Infinite Undiscovery and Operation Darkness on the 360. There also seems to be some miscellaneous sale going on at different Best Buys. Sometimes it's 25% off a title, or Buy 1 Get 1 half off, and the titles seem to differ. Check out your local Best Buy and look at the end of each section to see where they are. It will differ store to store."
According to their teaser website, Tri-Ace is developing a new RPG for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.
This coming Monday (January 12th), Amazon will be doing a video game themed day of Gold Box Deals. What games they are listing isn't announced, only these clues are given:

Gaming Front: "Japanese developers are having trouble selling JRPG's on new consoles, especially on the 360. The 360 have quite a few of them, but the problem with all of them is that they don't sale. From Blue Dragon to Tales of Vesperia and now Infinite Undiscovery. Having only been on store shelves for a little more than two months, Amazon have dropped the price from $59.99 to $27.97. This is very unusual for JRPG's, especially one from Square-Enix. Hopefully Star Ocean: The Last Hope will do better."
Producers and development teams at Final Fantasy XIII publisher/developer Square Enix "don't have a particular favourite platform", the director on upcoming RPG The Last Remnant has revealed.
Brandon of DigitalSomething writes: "Love discounts? God knows I do, especially on new J-RPGs. Great news for any of you who agree with me as Amazon is listing SquareEnix's next big release, The Last Remnant at $39.96, about $20 off the normal price when you pre-order. Not only that, but they'll also throw in a bonus code that will unlock a couple of formations for you to use in-game. In addition to that, they've also got $20 off Infinite Undiscovery which comes with a limited foil print and a code that unlocks some unique in-game items. Together, that's two new great J-RPGs for $80 with a bunch of bonus stuff, so if you've got the funds, go take advantage of these deals. I already have ;)"
GP Reports: "If you still have not had the chance to pick up one of XBOX 360's RPG exclusives, Infinite Undiscovery, right now might be the best time to pick it up..."
TVGB: "For those of you who don't know that the Xbox 360 is doing terribly in Japan, well, the Xbox 360 is doing terribly in Japan. To give you an idea of the scope of Microsoft's problem, a mere two Xbox games cracked Famitsu's Top 30 sales chart for the week of September 8th-14th, while a whopping seventeen made the list for the DS."
Xbox 360 sales were more than likely spurred by the one-two punch of a Japanese price cut and the release of console-exclusive Infinite Undiscovery, which sold 86,708 units in its first week. MCV points out that the 360 has now sold 717,275 units in Japan -- the very foundations of our world would be shaken if it actually went on to sell a million units.
Ameblo via VGChartz is reporting that the first day sales estimates in Japan on September 11, 2008 as follow:
