360 - Halo Wars - Halo Wars Achievements Unveiled 360Sync has uncovered all 50 achievements for the upcoming Halo Wars game, with 5 achievements being a secret (for now!) So, what can we expect from the achievements from this game, and more importantly, do the achievements reveal anything about the upcoming game?

For a start, just like in Halo 3, skulls will exist in Halo Wars, and you will get achievements for finding them. You'll unlock 2 achievements if you can find them all. Yet, you can also unlock 30 points for, "Using one of the 6 Major Leader Powers to destroy an enemy's last unit." "'Halo Wars'Here's one more important "Halo Wars" fact that I learned during my recent interview with the game's lead writer, Graeme Devine:

-The Game's Text Won't Repeat The Mistakes Of "Banjo-Kazooie" - Several prominent Xbox 360 games have been programmed to display text in such small sizes that words can't be read on standard definition TVs. Pity the gamer who hadn't splurged on an HD set. This was an issue with Capcom's "Dead Rising" in 2006 (which was never fixed) and Microsoft/Rare's "Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts" earlier this year (which Rare plans to be fix)."

360 - Halo Wars - Halo Wars "Red" and "Blue" Artwork PWN or DIE has some new artwork that plays up to the "good vs evil" theme constant in the Halo franchise. Included are four images of the "red" and "blue" Halo Wars artwork. Red and blue have been the generic symbolic colors to show the two sides of the Halo universe, this thematic artwork does a great job of illustrating the two sides in the Halo Wars strategy game.

360 - Halo Wars - Halo Wars' Sgt. Forge has no relation to Halo 3's Forge Halo Wars' lead designer Graeme Devine has told D+PAD that Sergeant Forge, the main character you'll be playing as in the upcoming Xbox 360 RTS, has no relation to Halo 3's Forge mode.

When asked whether the Sergeant had any relation to Halo 3's popular mode, Devine stated:

"No. It's a funny story though! We go over to Bungie and we show them some of the story and a few of the cinematics and they're really busy on Halo 3 – "So Sergeant Forge? That's interesting we put a Forge in our game" they say. "Ah cool! Is he a Sergeant?" And they went, "No, not really."

"He didn't actually say what it was, so there I was thinking cool, they've got a Forge character in there. That was certainly the inference I got. Then the game comes out and now I know what they mean! Yeah, no relation!"

360 - Halo Wars - Ensemble: No time to create Covenant Halo Wars campaign One notable absence from Ensemble's forthcoming Halo Wars is a full Covenant campaign - but things might have been different if the developer had had more time.

"We always have tonnes and tonnes of ideas," explained producer Brian Lemon, speaking to VideoGamer.com last week. "We throw everything in, and then we separate out what we want to do with the game. If we'd have had more time, we'd have loved to do [it], flesh out more of the Covenant.

360 - Halo Wars - Ensemble: "Microsoft made a mistake" Ensemble Studios' Graeme Devine has stated that he believes Microsoft has made a mistake in shutting down the studios.

Talking to D+PAD last week, Devine stated:

"I've been working on Halo Wars for over 4 years, so I'm not about to walk away from a game I've spent four years of my life with. It'd be very easy for us to just mail it in and finish a game and sell that but we are not really in it for that. It's our proud shout to Microsoft, and the reason why their mistake is obvious."

360 - Halo Wars - Ensemble will have a successor Soon-to-be-closed Ensemble Studios will have some form of successor, according to developer Graeme Devine. In September Microsoft announced plans to shut down the Age of Empires creators, much to the dismay of RTS fans around the world.

"There's a new studio forming that will rise from Ensemble," Devine confirmed to VideoGamer.com last week. "They haven't announced specific plans, so I can't comment on that. Microsoft is looking at people to find them homes, but frankly right now we're just focusing on finishing the darn game and making sure that's job number one. I don't think anyone has really thought much beyond that yet. Let's get Halo Wars finished. In this industry, you're only as good as your last game."

360 - Halo Wars - Halo 3 multiplayer "really Quake 3 from 1999", console 'depth' MIA Splash Damage founder Paul Wedgwood has reiterated the PS3 is "more of a challenge" to develop on, compared to the "easier" 360.

He points out in his interview with Edge Online that console gamers crave the greater depth PC games offer. Consoles could be deep "but it isn't there", mainly as PC called it first.
