Sega has opened the official site of Golden Axe: Beast Rider and released five new concept images that can be viewed below.
The first details on Sega and Secret Level's long announced Golden Axe update have been revealed in the latest issue of PSM3.
Recent reports from Xboxygen.com and Kotaku.com, have led people to believe that Golden Axe: Beast Rider had become an Xbox 360 exclusive. However this is not the case.
Golden Axe will feature hottie Tyrus Flare, a heavy levels of violence and even sport some much needed nudity. The mature action RPG, in development at Secret Level, was originally slated for the Xbox 360 and PLAYSTATION 3, but Xboxygen writes it's now a 360 exclusive.
According to a thread at NeoGAF, an issue of Play Magazine set to be released a week from now has an exclusive story on the upcoming Golden Axe: Beast Rider. While it had been previously announced a year or so ago, news on the game completely vanished and many people assumed it had been canceled. With the upcoming piece in Play, at least gamers worries should be quelled.
SEGA® of America, Inc. and SEGA® Europe, Ltd. today announced the SEGA Vintage Collection, a new product line that includes enhanced versions of five SEGA classics which will be available for download on Xbox LIVE® Arcade for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft. SEGA Vintage Collection kicks off today with the launch of Sonic The Hedgehog and an enhanced version of the arcade classic Golden Axe. Three other titles from SEGA's Genesis library will be ready for download shortly thereafter: Streets of Rage 2, Ecco the Dolphin, and Sonic The Hedgehog 2.
Sega have announced today that their 17 year old franchise will ride into battle yet again, in what they are describing as a 're-imagined' update to the series. Promising to deliver an intense and unique combat experience, Golden Axe will force you to use you wits as well as your fighting and magic skills in a battle to defeat 'an evil intent on enslaving the remains of civilization.'
