New Call of Duty multiplayer map

Fight against the Axis or your friends in war-torn France

World War II may have ended some 62 years ago, but it seems like us game players have been reliving that dark age for quite some time. Activision seems intent on prolonging the thrills of Nazi-bashing by releasing a free bonus multiplayer map for the realistic-yet linear, Call of Duty 3. Starting today, January 11th, Xbox Live Gold members will have access to the map from Xbox Live Marketplace, while Silver members have to wait until January 18th.

The new map, titled “Champs,” takes players to Port Royal de Champs, France where you can expect more intense, head-to-head action. Also, to be released soon is the Valor Map Pack which will add an additional five maps. Finally, something to settle that squabble over who the better ladies man was: Roosevelt or Churchill.

If after all this multiplayer love you still have an itchy trigger finger, then try your skills against developer Treyarch on January 18th on Xbox Live from 11am-2pm PST. Check out www.callofduty.com for more info and we’ll see ya on the battlefield, maggot.
