Videogamer writes: "Gearbox Software has confirmed plans to release a demo of hotly anticipated Xbox 360, PS3 and PC WW2 FPS Brothers In Arms Hell's Highway.

Speaking to VideoGamer.com at Ubidays in Paris last week, Gearbox president Randy Pitchford said he wasn't sure whether the demo would come before or after the game's official release, scheduled for some time this August.

When asked if Gearbox planned a demo Pitchford replied: "Yeah we do have plans for a demo. We haven't actually specifically decided which thing, which bit of the gameplay we're going to put in the demo yet. We're going to do it. I don't know if it will come out before the launch or not. It might not, it might come after. We'll see. But we're going to give a demo, because there are some people who really want to check things out before they buy."

Ahh delays, the gaming industries way of tying a carrot to a string and watching you chase it.

It was recently announced that Ubisoft, creators of the hit game Assassin's Creed, will be delaying three of their 2008 titles. Those on hold include Far Cry 2, Tom Clancy's Endwar, and Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway. No indication on when exactly they will be released other than that they will be released some time in the 2008 fiscal year, which starts in April.

Ubisoft has today revealed its highly anticipated Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway will be released across Europe on PlayStation 3 in March 2008, a month later than the planned February release for the Xbox 360 and PC versions.

The news comes from the publisher's latest release schedule which also reveals a month delay for Far Cry 2 on PC - now scheduled for March- and a March date for its new franchise Tom Clancy's End War.

Allison "ennui" Berryman has revealed the following:

The Hell's Highway team has already implemented almost half of the achievements in the game, and selected one that would be simple to test to ensure that unlocks were working properly. As many of you have seen in the various videos for Hell's Highway, sometimes when a really interesting action sequence happens (like a good grenade throw), the camera zooms in and slows down to give you a better look at the event. The first time you get a headshot in Hell's Highway, this action camera sequence happens, and you unlock an achievement - since this is fairly easy to test, it was chosen to be the first achievement unlocked in Hell's Highway. I got a photo of it for you guys when Chris loaded up a test map (not a map in the final game, just a testing ground) for us and unlocked the achievement!

There have been rumors spreading recently that Ubisoft has pulled Brothers in Arms Hells Highway. However this is simply not the truth. PSU has contacted Gearbox Software, the developers behind BIA, to get an inside scoop on the rumor.

"Brothers In Arms Hell's Highway is in full force development mode. And though there is a rumor surfacing out there, the folks here at Gearbox are still working hard and the game has not been cancelled," stated Tatum Tippett, Marketing Manager for Gearbox Software.
