    The rumor rage starts at 5x more powerful than Xbox 360. Durango = 6(XBOX360) = 1.2(Wii U) (6/1.2)(XBOX360) = Wii U 5(XBOX360) = Wii U

In terms of sheer power, Nintendo hasn't been competition for another console since it's 16 bit days. I can't see that changing here. Maybe, just MAYBE, the Wii-U will compete with the current gen, but only since they've had time to come up to the level of the PS3 and Xbox. However, once the other new gen systems come out, Nintendo is likely to fall behind once again.

What are you talking about? The N64 was far more Powerful, Graphic-wise than the PSone. Back in that Era, Nintendo was full of tech improvement arrogance. But What held it back was the Use of Cartridges instead of CDs. And in the last Generation, the Gamecube also was more Powerful graphically than the PS2, but once again, lack of DVD playback or full DVD Disks, held it back. This Console generation is the only Generation in which Nintendo did not pull out a Console that was actually on equal footing graphically.

16 bit era - SNES (arguably more powerful than Genesis) 32 bit era - N64 (Um... it was more powerful than PS and Saturn)

I still do not understand why people insist on calling it a next generation machine.. it is halfway there, not there!

I just hope the controller is redesigned. The face buttons being below the right stick seems so wrong. Also dropping the Wii name altogether would be a welcome change.

It will compete with today's tech...tomorrow. This thing is a joke, Ninty fans get butthurt.

Retarded eigh? haha, but you can't blame them, no one will compete against them using mario games even 10 years to come

a recent rumor is that it will have a streetpass like feature, and support for external hard drives using the one of the 4 USB 2.0 ports that the system has.
