Wii U arsonist crowd catered for with World of Goo dev's latest - Little Inferno. Here's the first trailer

Say 'hello' to Little Inferno. It's a new game from the new and fiercely independent developer Tomorrow Corporation. It's coming to Wii U, PC, Mac and Linux in Winter 2012. And it looks like it's chasing the arsonist buck because as far as we can tell it's all about burning stuff. What sort of stuff? Well, according to Tomorrow Corporation, stuff like 'screaming robots' and 'exploding fish' and 'tiny galaxies'. That sort of stuff. Have a look at the first trailer:

Admittedly the trailer doesn't actually show anything of the game, so we can't say whether we think the game looks any good in a mechanical sense. But we can say it looks like Little Inferno is going to be kind of mad. In a good way. Good mad. And almost certainly unique. So we're excited about that. We're also excited about the fact Tomorrow Corporation is home to the creative brain-sacks behind such fine works as Henry Hatsworth and World of Goo. Very promising indeed.

You can find details of an early access beta program - paying to pre-order the game gives access to the beta - at Tomorrow Corporation's site. Windows beta first, Mac and Linux to follow.

Some men just want to watch tiny galaxies burn.

I don't have the energy to really hate anything properly. Most things I think are OK or inoffensively average. I do love quite a lot of stuff as well, though.
