The warriors of Tekken 6 – Part 2

All this talk about fighting games lately may have you thinking, “What about that awesome fighter Tekken? Isn’t a new one of those coming soon?” Well, your inquisitive mind is correct - Tekken 6 is coming this year for both the 360 and PS3, probably in the fall if we had to guess. Recently we had a rundown of some of the fighters, and now it’s round two. These are the official bios straight form Namco Bandai, so all the praise goes to them - we just posted it.

To skip straight to the screens and character art in all their high-res, full technicolor glory, head here.

Christie Monteiro

Christie was unable to win The King of Iron Fist Tournament 5. She was struggling to discover a way to save her grandfather when Eddy, who had been by her side, suddenly vanished. She searched everywhere but was unable to find him. Ultimately, she was left with no choice but to return to Brazil alone.

Christie continued her search for Eddy upon returning to Brazil, when surprisingly her grandfather also disappeared from the hospital. The hospital said that Christie's grandfather had been sent to the Mishima Zaibatsu for treatment. Christie figured that Eddy acted against the Mishima Zaibatsu in same manner, but in that case she should have gotten some communication from him. She could not help but feel that there must be something sinister behind Eddy's disappearance. When The King of Iron Fist Tournament 6 was announced, Christie headed for Japan to get in contact with the Mishima Zaibatsu and to find out where Eddy and her grandfather had gone.

Devil Jin

Under the control of the devil gene, Jin Kazama's power rivals that of a demon.

Sergei Dragunov had received orders from the Russian military command to capture the organism known as the 'Devil.' He successfully infiltrated The King of Iron Fist Tournament 5, but was unable to locate the organism.

Russia was in complete disorder due to numerous internal conflicts and civil disturbances, all believed to be caused by the covert actions of Mishima Zaibatsu operatives. In order to suppress national unrest, Dragunov was fighting across the country. He was then called back by the top Russian military command and ordered to infiltrate The King of Iron Fist Tournament 6 to crush the Mishima Zaibatsu. Thus, Dragunov embarked once again for Japan.

is it me, or does draugonov look a bit like marylin manson? oh and stuzimuzipuzi, the acheivements will probably be boring, like beat story mode with kazuya 10G. but the game will still be full of win!!

RebornKusabi, I agree entirely. The d-pad is terrible on the 360, so unless you have a fighting stick, you will have a painful time trying to enjoy it. I loved Tekken 5 and DR, and will buy 6 as soon as I can. Oh, and Marshall Law FTW!

@ KillDrone You're going to be disappointed. Tekken hasn't been good since the third one on Playstation 1.

looks pretty good, it might even rival street fighter if it plays perfectly.

Yea, Tekken on the 360's gonna handle like a b*tch unless you use a stick. The d-pad is just horrible. T4 was disappointing, but T5 and DR made up for its shortcoming. T6:BR is sick. I wonder what the exclusive console modes are gonna be about... Baek and Law all the way!
  • Subtomic - March 12, 2009 10:42 p.m.

    WOOOOOOT kings the best!
  • RebornKusabi - March 12, 2009 10:40 p.m.

As a long time fan of Tekken since the first one, Tekken 5 and Tekken Dark Resurrection were both on the PS2/PS3 and they both ****ing rocked, so no your opinion does not equal fact. I own both consoles but I will be getting it on the PS3 simply because of the goddamn debacle that is the 360 remote...

Can't wait to finally play Tekken on an Xbox.
