Okay, everyone. It's time to address the chocolate-dipped, banana-flavored elephant in the room. Why is Drowzee so creepy? Under what evolutionary circumstances would it evolve to eat dreams? Why will I be checking under my bed for Drowzee before I go to sleep, just like when I was 5?

You guys should update this, there are some great additions in Pokémon X Y! Honedge: X Apparently this Pokémon is born when a departed spirit inhabits a sword. It attaches itself to people and drinks their life force. Y If anyone dares to grab its hilt, it wraps a blue cloth around that person's arm and drains that person's life energy completely. Espurr: Y It has enough psychic energy to blast everything within 300 feet of itself, but it has no control over its power. Malamar: X It wields the most compelling hypnotic powers of any Pokémon, and it forces others to do whatever it wants. Y It lures prey close with hypnotic motions, then wraps its tentacles around it before finishing it off with digestive fluids. Gourgeist: X Singing in eerie voices, they wander town streets on the night of the new moon. Anyone who hears their song is cursed. Y It enwraps its prey in its hairlike arms. It sings joyfully as it observes the suffering of its prey. And of course, Klefki: X These key collectors threaten any attackers by fiercely jingling their keys at them. Because what could be creepier than a jiggling ghost-keychain?

as for alakazam, the new cells would replace the old dead cells, which are excremented from the body through feces, urination, mucus, etc. while proteins and other useful chemicals are sent where they are needed in the body. he wouldn't die of a giant brain, if anything it make alakazam effectively immortal

As much as Yamask is a bit creepy, I kinda sympathize too. It's not creepy as in fuck off, but creepy as in poor bastard.
  • richard-glen - June 27, 2014 10:21 p.m.

Yes but it does evolve into a pokemon that gets revenge by eating grave robbers and entombing them in solid gold.

The worst part about Haunter? In the opening to the original Pokemon show you see Haunter licking Pikachu.

dugdrio will always be the most disturbing to me. using the 3peat evolution method and like dodrio the only organic trios but we don't see what is connecting them unlike all the others
  • Swedish_Chef - October 8, 2013 6:23 p.m.

  • freeden - October 8, 2013 5:18 p.m.

As if the idea that an entire world's species of animals is just out there for the people that live in it to capture them and stuff them into tiny balls. The whole cutesy act of Pokemon is just a cover for terrifying creatures used as weapons and animal abuse in the name of collecting badges!
  • Fuzunga - October 8, 2013 2:36 p.m.

SPOILERS, YO Here's some great new ones: Phantump: According to old tales, the Pokemon are stumps possessed by the spirits of children who died while lost in the forest. Trevenant: It can control trees at will. It will trap people who harm the forest, so they can never leave.

Damn straight this are morbid. As Bladedfalcon says, awesome art Tyler. Speaking of which, with Pokemon X and Y coming out this week, we COULD expect a Pokemon Representative in Smash be revealed.
  • Zeos - October 8, 2013 1:24 p.m.

Never knew Pokemon could be so morbid. Awesome.
  • BladedFalcon - October 8, 2013 12:12 p.m.
