Team Fortress 2 LEGO red team has no use for blue bricks

A devoted Team Fortress 2 fan, Matt De Lanoy, has unveiled his collection of to-scale LEGO characters inspired by Valve's team-based shooter, Team Fortress 2. Pictures of individual TF2 figures can be found on his Flickr account along with De Lanoy's other creations, including LEGO figures inspired by Arrested Development and Futurama.

De Lanoy says, “The scale can allow for a surprising amount of detail, but the real key to making these is getting the proportions right. I can't say I did that 100 percent (some of these are probably too tall, excluding the Heavy), but overall I'm very satisfied.” While we can appreciate all of the figures for different reasons, the Heavy is particularity impressive because he's able to stand on his own while holding his minigun — which is hard enough to do without being a LEGO.

Above: A nice photo from De Lanoy’s Arrested Development collection. Watch out for hop-ons!

Fans of the work who are in the Chicago area this weekend, should head to Wizard World Comic Con 2011. De Lanoy has a booth “in the far back corner” and he'll be bringing the new TF2 figures along.

Does anyone know if his site has the instructions to building 'em?

For the scale he used, it is quite detailed. A bigger scale with more detailed would have been more big though

there's a guy called saber scorpion who made tf2 guys out of the minifigs (the little lego men) and a bunch of other gaming franchises like Halo.
