Steven Moffat says he would not object to a Doctor Who movie

The BBC reports from Steven Moffat's appearance at the Edinburgh International Television Festival that he believes it would be good to see Doctor Who at cinemas as long as it was "great and fantastic".

Kicking off in spring 2010, Moffat is taking over from Russell T Davies as the lead writer and executive producer on Doctor Who. The BBC reports him saying, "A movie is one 90 minutes a year. So yes, so long as it never gets in the way of the show."

He also spoke about the Doctor's age ("I think he'll always probably tend to be around 40") - read more over at the BBC news page .
