State of the Game 2013

Shares

As the year comes to a close, we couldn't help but look back at the games that carried us from January to December--the DMCs, the Gone Homes, the Call of Duties, and everything in-between. But the more we looked, the more we noticed some trends that weaved between them all. This year, for all its successes, was about one thing: destruction.

And with that in mind we put together a remix of 2013, if you will. We merged all of the biggest games into one, (mildly) cohesive story that, we believe, tells the tale that all of 2013's games attempted to tell.

I say this is another year without Shenmue III, which means this is another throwaway year. Thanks video game industry, try again in 2014.

In terms of destruction as the theme, your right In terms of "all the biggest games" nope, there's not much variety.

I agree. All I see are AAA games... where's the indie?

Pretty good, but it could have used more variety.
