has released a slightly altered trailer online, including a couple of new fragments of footage from Peter Jackson's long-awaited return to Middle-earth.
To the untrained eye, the new trailer might appear to be exactly the same as the one that was released last Christmas, but there are a couple of minor additions worth looking out for.
Firstly, there's an additional reaction shot of Bilbo welcoming Gandalf to the Shire. Then we have a glimpse of Bilbo hiding behind a Mirkwood tree, before finally getting a look at Gandalf and the dwarves pelting through the forest.
Take a look at the new trailer, below…
As we said, it's remarkably similar to the first trailer, but at this stage, we'll snap up any new shreds of footage like a hungry hobbit polishing off a plate of bacon and eggs. Expect a full-on meltdown when the next all-new trailer, eventually arrives.
Newly confirmed by Peter Jackson as being the first part of a trilogy, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey opens in the UK on 14 December 2012. As Tolkien himself would say, it's, "a tale that grew in the telling"...
