Runner2 may be sticking to Bit.Trip's core gameplay, but Gaijin Games is dedicated to making CommanderVideo's next jaunt his most visually appealing yet. See how the studio is progressing in its latest gameplay preview:
The Bit.Trip sequel (full name: Bit.Trip Presents Runner 2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien) was revealed for PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade last October. It will allegedly feature HD graphics, new abilities, various difficulty modes, and loads of unlockables. Gaijin Games wrote a new blog entry to accompany the video, insisting, “As much as we've changed and improved stuff this week, there is still a TON of stuff that we are adding over the next week and a half, such as: Polished & new animations, color adjustments to textures, new check points, a DC-4 plane & RAINBOWS!!!”
Runner2 was originally pegged for an early 2012 release, but this week Gaijin Games' Mike Roush told Eurogamer it was delaying the launch to November in order to “make Runner2 the product it has to be”. Speaking to a possible port for the Wii U, which is also anticipated to arrive later this year, Roush hinted, "My guess is we will always be with Nintendo," Roush reckoned, referencing past WiiWare and 3DS games. "Everyone at Gaijin Games is a Nintendo fanboy, so we will most likely continue that relationship in the future."
