Rockstar San Diego has
placed advertisements for several positions on its team, specifically
requesting skills suiting “the wide range of gameplay mechanics
found in a Rockstar open world game.” Posted on Gamasutra (via Game Informer), the adverts seek artists and programmers of various
stripes, and point strongly to a new open-world title being prepped
within the studio.

The listings, all posted within the last few weeks, call for professionals with PS3 and Xbox 360 experience
and “the skill to get the most from next-gen consoles.” The
company's open-world credentials (R* San Diego, in particular, is
responsible for the Midnight Club, Red Dead and Smuggler's Run IPs)
are touted strongly: if these listings indeed point to a new San
Diego title, it's likely to be one of those ones you'll need a decent
map and a few days off work to get your head around...
