Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City gets seriously cinematic in new, extended trailer

Zombies are a spreading plague both in and outside of games, as no title seems to exist without the brain-gnawing undead. Though in some cases, like with Capcom and Slant Six’s Resident Evil side game Operation Racoon City, it can be forgiven. First of all it’s connected to classic entries in the series, and instead of a rag-tag group of survivors, you play as special operatives out to quell the zombie insurgents. Take a look below to see how these professionals deal with the undead.

As this glossy CG footage shows, no matter how good you are at blowing up corpses or stabbing long-tongued zombies, your training can only take you so far. Sometimes you can’t predict things like surprisingly tenacious civilians or unkillable super zombies, so let that be a lesson to all you would-be zombie hunters out there. You’ll see how this battle ends when Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City launches March 20.

Well, consider me officially gobsmacked. That looked amazing. I'm extremely excited about this, on my must-buy list. ONe thing I'm worried about, though, is that having an 8-person squad might, like, break the immersion a bit? I mean, yeah, sure, it's an elite squad, but, 8 players at once might make the game a little... Well... EASY. And 8-player co-op might get a little clustershart-y. Maybe, having a three- or four-man squad, and having to pick you player character and the other noon-player characters (or spereste player characters for co-op) based on the strengths and weaknesses of your personal play style might be fun, though? Also, any of my friends reading this and thinking about getting it? I'm totally dibs-ing the invisibility guy.

OH GEEZ THOSE BRAINS! But to turn off caps lock for just a moment, I am super excited for this, moreso because it will come out just in time for Spring Break! Woo! *removes shirt*

If in the retail game the creepy announcer voice doesn't say the full name of the game I'm going to be disappointed.

If this is set during the Raccoon City Outbreak, why are all the cars modern?

Damn, that was some badass CGI, although it's kind of hard to tell why everybody's shooting at each other

The Umbrella Hit Squad is supposed to destroy all evidence of Umbrella's Bio-weapon experimenting so that the incident can't be traced back to them which also means they have to assassinate all survivors of the Racoon City incident so that no one can report back and explain that it was a Bio-Weapon test, that why the Umbrella soldiers are chasing down the R.C.P.D. officers at the start, which eventually leads to the firefight with the US spec ops task force, who are trying to uncover the nature of the disaster.

Is this that same game that has the girl with the preposterous rack and hair?I didn't see her in the trailer. If so it looks like they are heading in the right direction.
