We're interviewing the team behind RE6 and want your questions

Resident Evil 6's release date is coming soon, but there's still so much we don't know about the next entry in Capcom series. Fortunately for us, we'll be getting some answers soon, as we've got a man in Japan meeting with the dev team to ask them what's going on. But why should we have all the fun? Don't you guys have something you want to find out about RE6?

Curious how the developers approached this title compared to previous RE titles? Wondering how the art team designs gross zombies? Want to know how they make sound frightening? If so, share your queries with us in the comments below. We'll then cull through the responses for the best ones, ask the team, and have the answers on the site real soon.

If you wimp out on us and don't ask the questions that genuine fans of the series want to know (about Claire and Jill, the recent move to Resident of Duty: Evil Warfare and the disgraceful DLC policies) I'll lose all respect for you. What's the point of giving us the opportunity to put questions to developers and then ask them how they pay actors to groan into a microphone?

Why did you even make Sheva if you're just going to leave her in limbo like Rebecca? I don't understand how you made a game with just about every character Claire has interacted with: Chris, Leon, Sherry; yet didn't make Claire a main character. It defies logic. You stop that. Give us a game focusing on Claire, Sheva, Jill, and Rebecca, with the men as secondary characters.

1: Why do you keep making stupid shooters instead of wonderful, scary, atmospheric games of the past? (like everything from 1 to Remake) 2: Why do you keep making games with worst characters in series (Leon and, especially Chris)? Where is true hero of RE series -- Jill? Don't give me crap about this portable or w/e game with her, I'm only interested in big games for pc. 3: When would you pull your head out of your a$$ and give us REAL Wesker back? 4: When can we get full remakes of 2, 3 and CV?

Why do you hype up the men in the series but treat women like Jill and Claire like they only exist to advance the stories of male characters? Why did you decide to use Chris and Leon in Resident Evil 6 yet purposely exclude the two most important female protagonists of the entire Resident Evil series, Jill and Claire, from the game while you try to present it as the ultimate tribute to the series for its anniversary?

I have a couple short questions I would like to ask! 1.) Why did the development team decide to bring back Leon, Chris, Sherry, Ada, introduce Wesker's son, and create Neo-Umbrella, but exclude Claire Redfield and Jill Valentine from Resident Evil 6? Capcom has stated that Resident Evil 6 is meant to be an anniversary game for the series, so why would Capcom exclude Claire and Jill? Claire and Jill are the two leading ladies in Resident Evil and it's unfair to exclude them from Resident Evil 6. 2.) Why bring back Sherry without Claire? Fans have been eagerly waiting to see a reunion between Claire and Sherry since Resident Evil 2 and Sherry simply mentioning Claire in Resident Evil 6 doesn't count as a reunion. Why introduce Wesker's son, Jake, and not have Jill be a part of that. Jill has just as much to do with the Wesker family as Chris does, so Jill should be apart of meeting Jake. 3.) After seeing the love that fans have for Claire and Jill, do you have any plans for them? Maybe a DLC story campaign for them in Resident Evil 6? Maybe Claire and Jill could be leading protagonist for Resident Evil 7 seeming as if they were left out of Resident Evil 6. Claire and Jill haven't been leading protagonist in a numbered title in well over a decade, it's time they come back.

My question is. Does RE6 have Disc locked content and if so why is it still locked. Capcom has stated they want to change the way they do DLC so why not start now since Disk locked content can be removed by a code.

Without wishing to rip on this game, I want to know if they've learned any lessons in design from Resident Evil 5. That game was too afraid to take risks, and to be honest the enemy design I've seen in Resi 6 isn't exactly breaking new ground - zombie dogs and giant snake bosses were in the first game. Even the new enemies look/act kind of like regenerators. What's new?

Why does Resident Evil 6 look to compete with action shooters when Resident Evil 4 sold so many based solely on a finely tuned, single player experience? I may not have been terrified during all of RE4, but it understood the importance of retaining a sense of dread and tension--and THAT'S why it's universally seen as a superior game to RE5.

I only have one question: Will the PC version require Games for Windows LIVE or not? I know it makes the online matchmaking easier because it uses the same infrastructure/servers as the 360 (which is the whole point of Microsoft's system I guess) but good lord have you seen the responses for the PC version of Dark Souls? That's one of the most-beloved Japanese games right now, yet people will not support the PC release just because of that. People HATE anything that isn't Steam, for a good reason: Not nearly as many people use GFWL as they use Steam, and customers are lazy, not everyone will bother remembering two passwords just for a few games. Think about it, if you have a job and are busy all day, and still have a gaming PC, will you really bother log-in to TWO services instead of just one? Then again, people might use consoles instead for easier usage, so if someone already bothers with buying a gaming PC, he should be rewarded, not punished. I know it could be worse though, see Anno 2070 and Assassin's Creed for the PC and its connection problems. But still, working with Steam means having huge success. See Skyrim and the Steam Workshop. See the indies. So please, at least consider the option, ok?

Will Steve Burnside make an appearance? HE's the only playable character to ever die, but it's implied he could come back. I was a huge fan in RECV

I dont know how to word this, but will this game be friendly to people new to the series? Is there somthing I should do to catch up with the story or will there be something for new players to understand what happened so far?

I hope for you that it is, cause I didn't play a Resident Evil game since RE 2 and when I tried out a later installment of the series I was pretty confused, it was playable but I had a lot of questions. There are multiple virusses and multiple playable characters with their own story arcs, each going their own way and people meeting up somewhere along their path. So yeah I hope that they create some sort of previous on resident evil series.

How many new monsters are there and can you tell us about how you came up them/what inspired them? and Is this the end of these characters or will they be in sequels to this game/will there be a sequel or will the series reboot with new characters?

Is Claire Redfield ANYWHERE in this game? Is this virus a branch of the original T or G viruses? Will Ada be playable in this one as a bonus mission (Like RE4)? Will there be online play and if so will Humans v Zombies be a mode?

In the modern world of gaming in which scary games are becoming less and less, how can you ensure that your game is frighting. Even in to this day, most horror games star weak and vulnerable characters: young Japanese girls, scared englishmen, wandering fathers, et cetera. So with a game in which you play as not only a highly trained special operative, but also spend much time in groups, how can you ensure that the sense of fright is there. What stops it from deteriorating into a bland action game.

Hi, I have 3 questions, 1. How many discs are there for the 360 version? 2. Does it use MTFramework engine and which version is it? Because it looks way more powerful (technically speaking) than the previous MT Framework-based games. 3. Does the PC version support Steam (Steam Achievements, Community, etc..) ? Best wishes to you all.
