While I'm certainly glad that the game is going multiplat (yay, I don't have to shell out a bunch of money for a Wii U just yet!), it's a little weird that the Wii U version is gonna get delayed now. I noticed a lot of Wii U owners were FURIOUS about it (mostly because, from what I heard, the game was pretty much done and it's getting delayed for no real reason other than to get released simultaneously with the 360 and PS3 releases). Plus, releasing it near the release of another major title (GTA5)? Dammit, Ubisoft, did you learn nothing from 2011? Whatever, I'll still support it when it comes out (because Origins was great and I bet Legends will be fantastic), and at least now I can get the game without going through the trouble of buying a new console.

Thank fuck, now all I need is for Bayonetta 2 to go multi-platform and then I won't have to buy a WiiU... And that would be a reeeaaaalll good thing.

Too bad Nintendo's the one publishing it so there's no chance of that happening. Very glad this is coming to 360 though!
  • Dante1924 - February 8, 2013 5:45 p.m.

It's less that Nintendo's publishing it (because they did that for Razor's Edge in certain regions), and more that they are funding the game from their own pockets, and would not exist otherwise.

Awesome! I really wanted this to be on PS3/360 so I can wait a little longer on the Wii U.

Well this sucks, don't mind other platforms getting the game but the rather large delay sucks major balls. Launch title delayed to end of launch window title to september release :| Well so long as the Wii U version stays unique and they don't modify it to compensate for the other consoles lack of functions for the Wii U.
  • talleyXIV - February 7, 2013 5:15 p.m.

Oh really Ubisoft? Releasing a terrible port of ACIII, a mediocre zombies game, and a bunch of Rabbids shit didn't work out for you? SHOCKING Very angry about this delay, why don't they release Wii U version now and then the 360/PS3 versions later?
  • Dante1924 - February 7, 2013 5:30 p.m.

Exactly, it doesn't make any sense from a business perspective, either. With NOTHING being released for the Wii U in February, this was the PERFECT time to capitalize on that! In september,Lego city, Wonderful 101, and Pikmin 3 would have been released already, with Wind Waker HD around the corner. And on the multi platform front, we have GTA V and possibly the release of an ENTIRE CONSOLE. Way to send a great game to the grave, Ubisoft.

Man, you need to step up your trolling! Acknowledging that Rayman Legends would even be any good means you're slipping, man! Get it together!

  • Dante1924 - February 7, 2013 1:43 p.m.

Nice that it's going multiplatform, but... why delay the Wii U version? I mean, it was less than a month from release, they probably finished the game already, there couldn't have been any harm in releasing the Wii U version now, then release the other versions later. Also, Shawksta has it right. Who the hell thought it was a good idea to release this anywhere near GTA V?
  • JarkayColt - February 7, 2013 11:31 a.m.

Oh God, I was about to come have a moan about it being delayed again, because this game really was the only main reason I was interested in buying a WiiU (aside from Pikmin 3 and such), but, now it's going multiplatform? Just...yes. I cannot argue with that at all. Loved Origins to bits but I played it on the PS3. Glad that I'll be able to enjoy this game too without having to commit to Nintendo's new console just yet. But I'll happily wait and see which version comes out tops, as the WiiU is still at the back of my mind somewhere.
  • shawksta - February 7, 2013 11:23 a.m.

I just realized, September? Really? Its idiotic enough you released Rayman Origins with Assassins Creed only to get it ignored for the Latter, now your gonna release it in September of all places with GTA V? Ubisoft, WHAT ARE YOU DOING
  • shawksta - February 7, 2013 10:38 a.m.

Thats cool actually, makes everyone happy and gives it a fair amount of stardom. but what i dont get is why exactly are they pushing the Wii U version that back? Why not just release it as intended while the others wait for their version at september? Unless they are making major changes, the Wii U especially, there's no reason not to release it to the Wii U crowd in the early release statement while the others wait for their version.
  • BladedFalcon - February 7, 2013 10:27 a.m.

Two words: FUCK YEAH! I seriously never understood why they had to make this game a console exclusive, specially considering Origins sold pretty well on both 360 and PS3. Regardless, i loved that game so damn much, and I am extremely excited for this one now that I will be able to play it after all! (: Sucks about the delay though, and also, in b4 the brainless Nintendo loyalists barge in shouting blasphemy.
