RadioRadar Podcast 005: Yoshimitsu's got style

Beaten and bloodied is the theme of this week’s show (sort of?) as we offer final thoughts on Tekken Tag Tournament 2 and first thoughts on Insomniac’s gorey shooter, Fuse. Guild Wars 2 remains a fixation. We also laugh at the idea of everyone at Valve quitting, should EA have bought it. mooooooOOOOOOOOO! We also give stuff away, so you'd better prepare your ears for an audio attack you can't even be remotely prepared for.

This Week's Hosts: Hollander Cooper, Tom Magrino, Lucas Sullivan, and Sterling McGarvey

A janitorial themed mini-game collection for the Wii U in which you must wipe everything in a middle school using the touch screen before a constantly ticking timer leading to the hour in which school starts reaches zero. It would be frantic and fun theoretically, but actual playing would reveal a layer of hopelessness and depression that you were unaware that you could reveal, but now wish you could get away from.

i think that they will make a leasiur suit larry game and instead of haveing you guide sperm you have to rub the wii u pad to cause orgasms for the women or the men to shake things up a bit.

Thanks for reading my response last week but Megas is about a mech from the future found by a red neck nerd who rebuilds it with a muscle car for a head fighting aliens, television eating planets, and beating on Bruce Campbell as a MODOK style dead. Not whatever you were talking about. For this weeks' QOTW: Always have Bayonetta's butt or boobs (your choice) center screen on the game pad to poke at anytime you need to.

    Hahaha

In the next Legend of Zelda game, I can see it being used on one particular Minigame: As always, Link will eventually encounter Tingle, but he's sick with a virus of something and his face is full of zits. You will then have to use the Wii Pad to close up on Tingle's ADORABLE face so you can burst the zits open. Enjoy the nightmares! :D

I believe the most absurd is the obvious one, in batman arkham city youll have to look down at the tablet to use your items such as batarangs because using a few buttons is too complicated .

I reckon CM punk will pull from beneath the ring at Night of Champions and hit John Cena in the face while Paul Heyman distracts the referee. I would also use it as a door stop, a steady tray and something to put my drinks on. Game wise since it is a Japanese product I can only assume it would be used as some sort of up-skirting device. "Deviant Simulator, Oh No! Worrying Ladies 2013" or something.

An ambulance game where you have to yell "wii u, wiiu" (ambulence sound) to activate your sirens. Boom!
  • Killshot - September 12, 2012 7:46 p.m.

I say for a crappy first person shooter where the recticle is on the screen and you have to move the whole screen to aim the gun and it vibrates so when you're tired there's a good chance it'll slip and hit the ground. Finally get ready for a crappy gun peripheral that the screen mounts on top of.

I haven't listened yet however I will say that one thing I could see the pad used for, and this isn't an epiphany since I have seen it mentioned before, is to use the pad for an RTS or ports of Diablo 3 or Starcraft 2.

Anything that tries to use the WiiPad like the Wiimote was used will be the most annoying. For example, having the Wiipad be used as binoculars where the screen is moved to the pad instead of the television. I predict for the most part the Pad will be used like the touch screen on the DS. Few games use it creatively and most games use it as an inventory screen.

The Wii U tablet at launch will be used in a court trial involving Apple suing Nintendo for selling a tablet that looks like nothing like an iPad.
  • Goldeneye007 - September 12, 2012 4:49 p.m.

In launch title GTAV, the wiiu tablet will be used a jetpack.

using it for karaoke what thats already happening
  • festerblatz82 - September 12, 2012 4:06 p.m.

Good show sans Hank the Tank. Sterling and Tom are great additions.
  • Stabby_Joe - September 12, 2012 4:04 p.m.

For no good reason I can picture the WiiU as being opened up and used like a George Foreman grill. With its patented design, it drains the fat right into the power supply, turning it into a makeshift grease-powered battery. Loving the new podcast so far guys.

  • garnsr - September 12, 2012 1:30 p.m.

Aw man, a Henry-free show. Most comments would be the opposite, but I enjoy Henry's presence. You guys have been doing a good job, less free-wheeling than our beloved Talk Radar, but still entertaining.
