Cloak and Dagger would make a cool pair of protagonists. Set in a huge open world environment - let's go ahead and call in New York City - they start as underpowered teenage runaways, until they receive their superpowers from the drugs they're forced to take. Bang, superpowers. Then the level design can contrast the dark aspects of Cloak (stalking thugs from the rooftops, absorbing them into his cloak as an attack) which take place at night, and the light aspects of dagger (brawling, awesome knives) set during the day. Also the game would (obviously) have a strong anti-drugs message. Parents eat that up.

A Daredevil game would be great, he's street level enough to be like Batman and he has easy Detective vision also his villains are great.

I think it would be amazing if they did I dark gritty game of spawn. no weird random globe collecting just open worldish exploration and a great story to go with it

I think the Silver Surfer needs a game, and hopefully it wont be impossible like the NES one, plus I think him just flying through space would seem fun.

The Tick needs a great game! I mean, I just want to beat up a million zillion ninjas, vie for a crossword editing job at the Weekly World Planet (where Clark Oppenheimer aka The Caped Wonder is my co-worker), team up with Paul the Samurai the fight evil, and accidentally fight another super hero's supervillian!

Planet Hulk! Hulk games are usually bad because they're just non-stop smashing, but Planet Hulk had a variety of characters working with the big guy. Irredeemable would be one of the darkest games ever and have a simple hook: What if Superman were cynical and evil?

Two niches combined, an Usagi Yojimbo game in the style of Muramasa the Demon Blade. That would be perfect.

SANDMAN With every game release since Arkham Asylum doing its best to imitate the awesome hallucination sequences the next logical step is to adapt Neil Gaimans Sandman into a game. Dream is the perfect protagonist as his powers can be almost anything. The developers could set the game shortly after his imprisonement at the start of the series to avoid overpowerement. He can be tailiored to alost any situation. The setting invites creativity and surrealism. It can be set in the real world but also in the minds of other characters inviting some Psychonoughts paralells. Other DC characters could easily play supporting roles or make cameos similar to Arkhams hidden refferences. Give this to Rocksteady and the quality of the world will increased sevenfold simply by having this game exist.

Maybe Hawkeye? Hear me out. This years big draw was bows. Hawkeye has a bow and a great attitude, specially in Fractions run. No idea if the game would be an action platformer or something equally as "fitting", but whatever. Hawkeye intiative

Guardians of the Galaxy! Most specifically, Rocket Racoon! His mouth and foul insults as well as the brilliant British Voice actor that is Greg Elli. It would have the sneaking of Sly Cooper mixed with Wolf Link, and gun handling like Ratchet and Clank mixed with the violent clawing and biting from the Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 and we of course cant forget about the TRAPS

Finally got one: The recent Sonic & Megman comic needs to be a AAA game. It would mean both a good Sonic (which would ignore the game's shitty characters in favor of the less shitty comic characters) and be a triumphant return of Megaman since both of his games were canceled that one time. Plus Capcom makes great crossovers but I'm not saying I want it to be a fighter.

What I want is a John Constantine Hellblazer game. I'm thinking in the game style of L.A. Noire where you have to investigate some occult affair and get by with wits, minor magical tricks, and manipulating/lying to everyone you know instead of just beating shit to death with your fists or magic lightning.

Green Arrow... Now hear me out. this would not be based on the New 52 green arrow but rather the old 2001 Kevin Smith run. It would play very much like Arkham city, but instead the stealth sections would play more like a Thief game. When open combat breaks out the Bat Gadgets would be replaced with trick arrows. got a large group of enemies running at you? Ice arrow would freeze them in place. need to stun somebody? Electric arrow. Need to knock somebody down? good ole Boxing Glove Arrow... all the while GA is shooting out snarky well written jokes and puns (the ArrowPlane HAS to make an appearance.) What sets it apart from the Batman games however is the cameos... Green arrow is nothing without his backup... if you are outdoors you could press a button and have a hail of arrows rain down from Arsenal and Speedy. Another could have Black Canary swoop in and fight by GA's side for a while, and one could have The Bat himself come and stealthily take down enimies that have strayed from the main group... and think of the boss battles! you could team up with batman to take down solomon grundy (strangle him with the bowstring!) Team up with Green Lantern to fight Brick, or have a dual battle of GA and Batman vs Deathstroke and Constantine Drakon... then in whatever batman game releases closest to it you could play the same fight from batmans point of view... GOD I WANT THIS GAME!!!!!!!

A Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game a la Arkham City except with 4 player coop. Enough of the mediocre brawlers. Let's play up the fact that they are ninja for once!

or a Telltale game based off of "CHEW" but you guys already covered that in a Top 7
  • brianofthewoods - April 13, 2013 8:23 a.m.

Hawkeye, based off the new Hawkeye comic. You would have a huge variety of arrows to fight with and because its based off the new comic they could use the "Im great at boats line" and thats all i really want.

Jesus Vs. Zeus. Because sometimes ass kicking works better than grace. http://goodcomics.comicbookresources.com/2009/04/09/my-favorite-mid-90s-bad-ass-jesus-comic/

I would actually would love to see a game based off of the comic Resurrection Man. The main reason is because of the sweet gameplay that would follow. You play as Mitch Shelly, a man that dies.. A lot. Only, he always comes back, and with a new unexpected power (the one he had before death goes away). In a video game this would "possibly" make some very dynamic and entertaining gameplay. You could also go through the entire game and never feel over powered because you keep stacking new powers like in a ton of games out now. God of war, darksiders, infamous, etc. Want a new style to play? Die.

The Black Cat. Considering the dearth of female protagonists, a game starring one of Spider-Man's best on-again off-again love interest could be a huge hit, especially considering it would have to take liberally the Arkham games, but with a neo-noir angle to the story. I mean, she's a thief and a badass fighter. So that means stealth and a flowing combat system are the pillars of the design. Maybe even planning heists before you commit them, to add some strategy to the proceedings. And most importantly, they can't make her a walking fuckdoll come to life. No mature human being wants that.
