They're going to re-release an MMO whose first iteration was universally maligned on a console two months before it becomes obsolete AND charge $12 a month? Sometimes the short term memory of gamers/fanboys baffles me. It's kinda stunning to see a rather large amount of people commenting on this of how excited they are and they can't wait to play it... Which, look, I get being cautiously optimistic, or wanting to check it out if you're into MMOs and Final Fantasy, but it's as if the entire catastrophe of the FFXIV launch had never happened, so much so that people are willing to pay money for it before even KNOWING if it'll be good this time around, or if they'll get screwed once again >_>;

Honestly I can't say I'll miss them. The Hot Pursuit reboot was alright, but I couldn't stand Most Wanted. That was a massive disappointment for me. The last Need For Speed game I thoroughly loved was Hot Pursuit 2.

Quite surprised at the Ferrari there, but damn I hope it's not another NFS where all the cars feel the same and you swap between them as often as you change underwear... I do miss being able to take care of my own ride and improve it through the time, tuning them up to make up for their specific weaknesses while exploiting their strengths, and looking unique while at it.

Though, the news of potentially goofy weapon combos and super zombies a la dead island is kind of annoying... those were some major things that turned me away from dead island in the first place. But it seems they will make up for that with all the awesome aspects named in this article. I guess they knew some idiots would bitch about unvaried enemies and weapons. Come on guys, its zombies, all you need is zombies and real weapons. (Seriously though, electric spiked bats in dead island? Fuck off with that crap.)

But, as soon as I saw that first slide I thought to myself "Self, that looks like mirrors edge, doesn't it?" and as soon as i heard that, I was mad excited. I know zombies are overused, but hey, when done right they make an awesome adversary. I'll still hold off from being to excited, more like expecting the best, but preparing for the worst.
