Ever since the hosts started talking about the possibility of x/y evolutions, and then I saw the pic of the supposed Mewtwo/three; It got me thinking. Eevee has a new evolution in X/Y, maybe (drumroll) MEW has one of its own. Unlike the events that brought Mewtwo a.k.a. genetic manipulation of a mews dna sample. this would be entirely natural. Since the game is talking about chromosomes (X/X=male X/Y=female) and the fact that the Pokémon in question admittedly looks female it could still be a Mewtwo... but a Y variant. Science shows that genetic manipulation in early stages can have an influencing effect on the natural order of development. Just a theory.

Mewtwo memories, eh? Even though I grew up with the first generation of Pokemon, my first core Pokemon game was actually Pokemon Silver. So naturally, my first memories of Pokemon came from the TV show and the games on the N64. When it comes to Mewtwo, my first memory goes back to when I lived in Illinois, where the kids on the block were all into Pokemon in some way. I remember speculating on the existence of Mewthree, with one of the kids telling us that it really did exist and that it looked like "a Mew with spikes on its shoulders." We also used to speculate who was the strongest Pokemon: Mew or Mewtwo. I always sided with mew, since he was the original. I can still remember going to see Mewtwo in thearters when he starred in Pokemon: The First Movie. Mewtwo was the one and only complete badass of the Pokemnon anime universe. From brainwashing attractive nurses to creating dangerous storms with a flip of his wrist (and potentially killing a handful of trainers in the process), everything Mewtwo did he did with such ease and efficiency. He was ruthless, cold, and almighty. Ash couldn't catch 'em all in 12 seasons. Mewtwo caught them all in 12 seconds.

Too bad that I should have to have listened to this a few days late because it's already outdated now, haha. Apparently the Pokémon IS just a Mewtwo Forme, so, not only would its name still be Mewtwo, it is likely to still be #150 as well, and therefore not technically a new numbered gen VI Pokémon. The biggest mystery is how it will come to change in the game and what that does to its stats/movepool/whatever. Because I can't imagine its base stat total being much higher. The Mewtwo movie event may unlock something in Gen VI just like how the Shiny beasts unlocked Zoroark in BW. Also I'm surprised you guys didn't mention HarmoKnight! It released a week or so ago and it has a handful of nice Pokémon stages in it. It made me question the audience of the game a bit as I was surprised to find most of the songs were almost direct 8-bit tracks from RB and GS. Nice surprise and worth checking out I think.

My Newtwo memory was after I watched the movie and go to place my trash in it when I find on the floor a shiny mewtwo card. I picked it up and wondered who was the unlucky fan that would throw away such a card. So I kept it hidden except one day I left it in my jeans and my mom washed my clothes!!!! ITo this day I cry about how I let a card that rare get washed into shredded paper because I didn't empty my pockets X0

The first time I faced Mewtwo in my Blue Version I... promptly ran away from him. I did that with every legendary, don't know why. Although, in my Blue Version, if you weren't Venusaur, you weren't worth anything.

Okay brace yourself for this awesome name.......Mewtwo.....two, bam. Mewtwo is my fav, best last pokemon and legendary of any of the games, and loved him in smash bros. melee even if he was hard to maneuver.

They wouldn't call it Mewthree, they named the third Porygon, Z instead of 3. Besides the Pokemon Movie, my Mewtwo memory was just waiting on Pokemon Stadium's title screen as a kid to see him on the cpu play because I can't get pass that one asshole in prime cup who has a Mew
  • J-Fid - April 11, 2013 4:57 p.m.

Porygon Z is named that because it is not an actual upgrade, like Porygon 2 is. Rather, it is a virus that was created by hackers.

This reply is very late, but have you tried using Slowbro against the trainer with the Mew? If I remember correctly Slowbro walled more than half of his team and can take on Mew very easily. Spam Psychic on his Mew and after a couple Special drops it'll go down. When I faced that trainer I used Slowbro from the very beginning and it wore down all three of his Pokemon so that my remaining two could finish them off in one blow.

My earliest Mewtwo memory was battling my friend who had beaten the game when I had not. Having never heard of Mewtwo, I was as amazed as much as my butt was kicked. Truly a unique experience. And yes, why don't you guys ever do anything with our responses to these questions? I really hope they don't call it Mewthree...

I know it ruins the whole rhyme thing. Oh I know, MewFew!!!
  • Cyberninja - April 10, 2013 8:02 p.m.

You guys never discuss our stuff why do we post it again? To make up for this you should make the next pokemon spotlight Mareep to make up for this error.
  • J-Fid - April 11, 2013 4:56 p.m.

The next spotlight should be Skarmory! I've been saying it every episode.
  • Cyberninja - April 12, 2013 12:50 p.m.

Skarmory is really awesome, I remember always trying to get one in Crystal.
  • J-Fid - April 12, 2013 2:16 p.m.

The very first time I saw one in my Silver Version, I immediately thought I found the greatest thing ever, and promptly threw the Master Ball. It's that amazing.
  • Cyberninja - April 12, 2013 7:40 p.m.

actually that would be a good idea for something to do with a master ball in white 2
  • winner2 - April 10, 2013 7:37 p.m.

In leaf green I made it a personal goal to catch all the legendaries with pokeballs, and I was SO close to giving up on mewtwo on the god knows how many-th pokeball, but I finally did it. I felt so badass.
