Nightmare Before Christmas: Oogie's Revenge review

Tisn't the reason to be jolly

  • Does the movie justice
  • Burton-esque level designs
  • Plenty of extra

  • See "Soul Robber"
  • The simplistic puzzles
  • Lackluster combat

We’d almost forgotten about Tim Burton’s beautifully dark, animated kook-fest. In fact, it’s been such a long time, we were thinking this would be a festive stress management sim where the wrapping paper keeps tearing and Argos stops selling batteries. But the game brought it all flooding back: unhinged characters, spookily twisted environments and a tendency for breaking out into foot-tapping song. On the surface, it’s a great use of the license.
