no, srsly I think "Nintendo HD" might fit for several reasons: -) the name combines old and new -) it is easy for Nintendo to brand their games: Super Mario HD, Mario Kart HD, Zelda HD, Kirby HD....etc -) as for us Europeans, the whole "high-definition" story has ultimately reached and accepted by every consumer. 2011 was a crucial year in which nearly all TV stations switched towards an HD broadcast. -) It took several years, now everone can afford a slick HD-TV some things that speak against are: -) "HD" is anything but new, sounds kinda dusty and over-used -) Nintendo HD doesnt promote the unique controller which is definitely the USP of that console

want to add that Japan also just switched towards HD in June/July 2011! many people there still use and play on old TV sets but are forced to change to a new HD-TV - psychologically this might come in handy for Nintendo if they call their new console "Nintendo HD".

God people ... it CAN'T be called the Revolution due to what the term means to people in certain parts of the globe, you know like the over throwing of a government. Nintendo already stated this as to why the Wii wasn't called that. A name for this thing? We could guess forever and never get into Nintendo's mind. Plus the name will be from a Japanese mind who is trying to pick something universal, so whatever is perfect for us Westerners shouldn't enter into the equation. No matter what they name it, we won't like it unless they just go back to making sure Nintendo is in the title again.

I'm a big fan of Nintendo HD. I'm not sure they're fully aware of their need to return to the core gamer, but they're getting there... Hopefully

Considering online goals and the way the controller works, the rumor name Nintendo Stream isn't so bad. Also like, Nintendo HD, Nintendo U, NES-HD would be neat. The best name combined with a excellent online service and great games... Nintendo Revolution

Nintendo ALWAYS renamed their consoles at one point before they were ultimately released. If anything, it would suprise me if they don't rename it.
