Monster Jam

These big bad machines have too little polish for the price

Words: on June 23, 2008

While no one can claim that Monster Jam isn’t exciting - the on-screen madness created by six monster trucks and the speed at which it happens can be so frantic it can make you feel a little queasy - it seems to get the fundaments of being in a colossal, wheeled vehicle slightly skewed. The trucks hurtle around like their tires are filled with helium and we can’t help thinking that fans of the motorsport event would want a game closer to the real thing than this lightweight racer. A frivolous racer with a hefty price tag but brief, brainless appeal.
