Mass Effect: Paragon Lost anime trailer has lots of exploding neon

San Diego Comic Con is ramping up today, and we're already getting plenty of good stuff from the show floor and all the myriad panels being presented. This new trailer debuted at the show, and displays a great new look at the animation and world of Mass Effect: Paragon Lost.

The animation is apparently being done by the same crew that handled the famous anime Ghost in the Shell. That doesn't mean much to most of us though. We just liked seeing Krogan battles and lots of shiny space magic.

"It's like Commander Shepard said : 'nothing is ever simple'" didn't he say anything more interesting than that ?

Honestly... doesn't look to exciting... But with the game spin off videos there are some good ones. Now I have to go watch the bonus from Assassins Creed: The, "Embers," video was very well done.

This looks like it was made in the 90's and written by somebody whose idea of fun is standing in lines. Needless to say I'm not excited. Also James Vega, James goddam Vega? Why did they use the most boring character penned in the last 10 years, the obvious choice in my opinion for a spin off anime would be Kasumi or Thane and would detail their life as a master thief or assassin respectively.

The Krogan anime playing in Donovan Hock's mansion looked better than this. Can I watch that one?

Fake Keith David gets 0/10. I know he can't be available for everything, but you really shouldn't try to imitate his voice. James Vega is boring.

    Looks freakin sweet.

Intriguing. I did love Ghost in the Shell. The lack of Keith David is upsetting, but he can't be there for everything. We'll see how this turns out I guess. Any idea when this is releasing?

    November 13th, 2012.

Seriously? The release date is in the video. Watch the whole thing before you ask a question with an obvious answer.
  • slimjim441 - July 15, 2012 2:22 a.m.

Easy, chief. I didn't watch the whole thing. No need to get your panties in a twist over a question.

Wow, this looks flat out terrible and that voice over is cringeworthy. It's like he was reading straight out of the Played Out Cliche-opedia.

Also, they chose to center this around James Vega? Really? I guess they were trying to center the show around the most boring Mass Effect crew member and Jacob Taylor wasn't available.
