Killer is Dead debut trailer

The debut trailer for Killer is Dead has been released, giving us a first look at the new game from Killer 7 and No More Heroescreator, Goichi ‘Suda 51’ Suda.

The release of the Killer is Dead trailer follows a character and plot reveal in Famitsu earlier in the week.

Killer is Dead currently has a confirmed Japan release only, where it will appear on PS3 and Xbox 360 in the summer.

I'll probably end u giving this one a miss; The gameplay looks alright, like a fairly solid hack-and-slash, but... ugh. That art style. It's hideous. So off putting. I had to stop watching the trailer half way through.

Operation Rainfall needs to come back. I WANT THIS GAME. also a pc release would be nice, although that would be a first for Suda51

Looks great, lets see if they cant mix the best parts of Killer 7 and No More Heroes 2 to one great awesome game. No more heroes 2 was just awesome and fixed the originals problem though it had its problems, but they werent game breaking, far from it. You guys even awarded it the best game you already forgot in 2010. With that games style in here, they can improve if they know what their doing, which i hope they do.

looks interesting but isn't the first half of that song plagiarized from Azura's wrath? unless it's public domain.

    Wow... Kids these days...

I hope this wasn't supposed to be a No More Heroes game and was suddenly changed at the last minute. Game looks pretty good though.

Considering Killer7 remains my favourite Suda game, I'm very interested to see where the connection lies in this one. I'm actually less enthused by the No More Heroes vibe from that trailer.

Yep, I immediately thought about that as well XD

I can't shake off the feeling that this game is something like a psuedo-sequel of No More Heroes.

I've only played his more recent horror games (Shadows of the Damned, Lollipop Chainsaw, even Diabolical Pitch) but am already in love with Suda's work. I'll definitely be watching this. Besides, looks like we'll get to play as a more violent Zero with that arm blaster and sword.

Well, it certainly looks weird and stylish, par for the course for a Suda 51 game. Here's hoping the gameplay can measure up and prove it has more bite and variety than his previous hack'n slash efforts.
